Not much to say about me.
I’m a language teacher, who works as a waitress, who is now on maternity leave. I’m 25, married (no idea how that happened!), Argentinian-Spanish but living in London, brunette hoping I was a blond, and apparently, I’m going to be a mum now.
I love reading, I’m the kind of person who will stay up till 6 in the morning reading without realizing. I’ve read books in a couple hours, and I’ve got books that I’ve been reading for about 10 years. I’ve got books that have 4 bookmarks and books that I should have returned to the library 2 years ago (oops!, in my defense, I have to say that I didn’t know I had them until we started boxing things to move).
I also love writing. I’m not brilliant by any stretch of the imagination. Every now and then some crazy people actually pay me to do it (always boring ad articles). Ideally I would be the new J.K. Rowling or Diana Gabaldon, but I think you actually have to write a novel for the money to start coming. And I’m not about to start writing one anytime soon, and if I did editors would ignore it.
Back to the reading. I will read anything. From Cervantes to chick-lit. I tend to prefer historical fiction, sci-fi, classics, travel writing, and YA adventure and fantasy.
I’ve been wanting to join a book club for quite a while now. It’s not easy though. Their times and my times never coordinate, and truth be told I’m not much of a social person. So, I figured I could read and write my thoughts if I started a blog. And, here it is.
If you haven’t noticed so far, I tend to write the way I talk. Loads of and’s, buts’ and so’s. I could write in a ‘nicer’ way, but it would just be boring for me. And, also, this is the style I like reading when it comes to blogs.
